Position summary : The Injection Molding Machine Maintenance-Repair / Tool and Die Maker is responsible for complex mold maintenance. Must be able to perform a wide range of tool room operations connected with the maintenance, repair and alteration of molds and injection molding equipment. Use outstanding judgment to verify new molds, equipment and tooling. Have a thorough knowledge of machine shop practices, must be able to read and comprehend blueprints and technical data, work from complicated drawings, sketches, samples of verbal instructions. Interpret drawing, plan and lay out work, diagnose and correct, use all types of precision measuring instruments and gages issues.

The successful candidate must be able to multitask in a diversified work environment, should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of ‘hands-on’ injection mold maintenance and similar experience dealing in plastic polymers.

Qualifications required :

• Must have a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
• Must have ability to use tool room equipment such as grinders and mills
• Must be capable of working on molds and making tight tolerances parts
• Must able to comprehend part and tool prints
• Injection mold dis-assemble / assembly and perform general mold maintenance
• Self-motivated, good organizational skill, team player
• Must be able to follow safety guidelines on the production floor
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair tooling problems on the production floor, identify and implement tooling improvements
• 5+ years’ hands-on work experience in Injection Molding
• Die maker or machinist certificate
• Continuous Improvement experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in an ISO 9001 : 2008 certified company
