Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A unique opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist with experience in home health, healthcare, and school-based settings to support K-12 students on a contract basis for the current school year. This role is located in Dothan, AL, serving a dynamic educational environment focused on maximizing each students functional independence and participation.

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students, addressing physical, sensory, cognitive, and developmental needs
  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans consistent with educational goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within the classroom setting
  • Provide direct intervention and monitor student progress, adjusting therapy approaches as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in pliance with school and regulatory standards

Desired Experience and Qualifications :

  • Valid Occupational Therapy licensure
  • Proven experience in home health and healthcare OT services
  • Background in school-based occupational therapy supporting K12 students
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques
  • Excellent munication and teamwork skills to effectively engage students, families, and educators
  • Ability to manage caseloads effectively and adapt to a contract role with a fixed duration
