A Day In The Life
As our Account Manager on the Commercial Lines team, you'll be responsible for the following :
- Providing the highest quality service to customers and cross selling within the existing book of business.
- Being the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company and designated accounts managed by Account Executives / Sr. Account Executives / Producers.
- Addressing various coverage issues, contract analysis, exposure analysis, issuing auto ID cards, handling all the inside service work associated with the client's accounts, including all endorsement activity, routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal control, preparation of formal proposals, checking and binding policies.

Knowing the underwriting and rating procedure for all types of personal lines policies.Quoting new business and renewal options to every client.Preparing proposals and applications, submitting them to insured's and carriers, obtaining client's signature and following up to ensure timely responses, all in conjunction with AE or Producer.Preparing and providing to every client a Summary of Insurance once coverage is bound and in effect for new accounts.Immediately updating Summary of Insurance for existing clients.Remarketing accounts as directed and following up with AE or Producer.Maintaining agency EPIC files accurately and consistently documenting conversations in emails and other notes sent to clients, while adhering to all MIB electronic and EPIC procedures.Handling cancellations timely by checking carrier websites or NOC's received via scan, fax or email, legally saving all accounts possible with adherence to E&O guidelines.Preparing and checking policies based on SOG's checklist to include preparing letters, invoicing, summaries of insurance, certificates, ID cards, evidence of insurance, binders, etc. Policies must be checked for accuracy and all applicable endorsements.Knowing and being up to date on the utilization of carrier websites, carrier communications, new coverage options, and billing procedures.These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply :
College Degree preferred (high school diploma is required)Current California Department of Insurance License1-2 years of experienceProficient MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Agency Management System (i.e., EPIC, AMS 360) or other paperless insurance management systemWe know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes. Work environment & physical demands :

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
