Security Professional Flex Officer

Full-Time Overnight Security Officer

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time overnight security officer for a facility located in Union Beach, NJ. Comfortable with computers and tablets, and with customer service experience. Must have a NJ driver's license for at least 1 year. Starting salary $17.50 per hour. Available shifts : overnight from 12 : 00 AM to 8 : 00 AM. Uniforms and equipment provided at no cost. Responsibilities include performing security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watching for irregular or unusual conditions, sounding alarms or calling police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons, warning violators of rule infractions, permitting authorized persons to enter property, observing departing personnel to protect against theft of company property, investigating and reporting on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, aiding customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, and making emergency notifications as necessary.

Qualifications must include a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience, licensing requirements subject to state and / or local laws, valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle, background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws, drug screen to the extent permitted by law, reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments, ability to operate radio or telephone equipment, demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public, effective oral and written communication skills, active listening and problem-solving skills, ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively, mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications include the ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, and prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.
