Description of Job
This PART-TIME position is located in BUENA VISTA and provides medical assistance to inmates housed in the Buena Vista Correctional Complex.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following :
Minimum Qualifications
Applicant must have one year of full-time experience as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). Experience must be thoroughly detailed in the WORK EXPERIENCE section of the application.
AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
Applicant must possess a valid, active Nurse Aide Certification (CNA) from the State of Colorado; Applicant must possess a valid, active QMAP Certification; a copy of your QMAP Certification / Registration must be attached to your application.

Able to work with inmates of diverse backgrounds and functional levels. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate positively and professionally with inmates and staff. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend the English language; Ability to effectively communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing; Ability to create accessible documents and technical content that follows plain language guidelines with accessibility in mind. Strong understanding and knowledge of the complexities of a multi-disciplinary health care delivery system. Ability to problem solve critically to effectively resolve issues. Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality inmate care. Ability to operate independently within the scope of a CNA. Must be of high integrity to handle confidential health care information to include all inmate records. Basic knowledge of computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working as a CNA in a correctional environment. Current CPR Certification (attach certification). Current First Aid Certification (attach certification). Experience working with patients who have multiple disabilities to include both physical and mental. Experience working with the senior population. Hospice experience.
