      We work on unique and challenging projects including Industrial IoT (IIoT) infrastructure, large-scale data collection from manufacturing equipment, time-series databases, and analytics platforms. Our team values autonomy - you'll have meaningful input into the systems we design and implement, not just execute predetermined solutions.

    • The Role
    • We're seeking a

    • Microsoft Systems Administrator
    • to round out our technical team. While our current staff excels with Linux servers and networking equipment, we need someone with deep Microsoft ecosystem expertise to lead our Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, and Azure infrastructure initiatives.
    • This is a remote-first position supporting four manufacturing sites across our service area. You'll work independently on client projects while collaborating closely with our team despite the distributed work environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on our clients' operations and have ownership over the systems you build.

    • Duties and Responsibilities
    • Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments (on-premises and hybrid cloud)
    • Administer Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and related services
    • Manage Azure AD / Entra ID including identity governance, conditional access, and hybrid identity scenarios
    • Implement and maintain Azure infrastructure and cloud services
    • Assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of corporate LANs, WANs, and wireless networks including servers, routers, switches, VoIP, power systems, and other hardware
    • Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of security systems including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus / malware software
    • Support IIoT infrastructure projects including data brokers, time-series databases, and analytics platforms
    • Provide Level 2 IT support to manufacturing clients
    • Participate in on-call rotation (6am-6pm M-F coverage plus weekend rotation)
    • Travel to client sites in New England and New Jersey (approximately 1-2 days per week, typically not overnight)
    • Required Skills and Experience
    • 3-5 years of IT systems administration experience
    • (or equivalent demonstrated expertise)
    • Strong Windows Server administration
    • on-premises and hybrid environments
    • Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem
    • administration and management
    • Proficiency with Azure AD / Entra ID
    • identity management, authentication, authorization
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure

    • Familiarity with on-premises Active Directory

    • Working knowledge of Linux-based operating systems and servers
    • Basic network administration - switch configuration, VLAN management
    • Understanding of modern virtualization platforms (Proxmox experience is a plus)
    • Knowledge of network security principles, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection systems
    • Ability to work independently
    • and troubleshoot complex issues with minimal supervision
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills for remote team environment
    • Comfortable working in manufacturing environments
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Certifications (preferred, not required) :
    • Microsoft Certified : Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified : Identity and Access Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft 365 Certified : Administrator Expert
    • Additional Experience :
    • Experience with Git, Ansible, scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), and other automation tools
    • Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as NIST
    • Network automation experience using scripting languages
    • Knowledge of Zero Trust networking principles and segmentation strategies
    • Experience implementing or supporting identity-aware network access solutions (NAC, SSO, MFA)
    • Experience with IIoT infrastructure or manufacturing environments

      Pay : $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
