Patient Access Specialist

A company is looking for a Patient Access Account Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

Perform financial clearance functions including insurance verification and patient registration

Educate patients on insurance benefits and ensure accounts are cleared prior to service

Collect patient financial obligations and maintain accurate documentation in the system of record

Required Qualifications

High school diploma; continued education preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting related to Patient Access and / or billing

Strong knowledge of insurance and financial processing of accounts

Proficient in EPIC ADT system

Certification such as CHAA or CHAM preferred
