Quality Assurance Manager

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing all food safety and quality functions at the facility. This role ensures compliance with food safety regulations, manages QA / QC teams, and leads initiatives to maintain high standards across production, packaging, and warehouse operations. The QA Manager monitors processes, conducts employee training, and ensures adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and GFSI guidelines. They lead root cause analyses for customer complaints, implement corrective actions, and manage internal audits and inspections. The role also includes oversight of product testing, sanitation programs, pest control, and recall procedures.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee all food safety and quality functions at the facility.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
• Manage QA / QC teams and lead initiatives to maintain high production standards.
• Monitor processes and conduct employee training in compliance with GMP, HACCP, and GFSI guidelines.
• Lead root cause analyses for customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Manage internal audits, inspections, and ensure adherence to food safety protocols.
• Oversee product testing, sanitation programs, pest control, and recall procedures.
• Supervise a team of hourly employees and manage scheduling.
• Support continuous improvement efforts across departments.

Work Environment :

This role is based in a manufacturing facility that produces onions, working in a lab environment around chemicals. The position requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and working in a plant setting.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Permanent position based out of Fernley, Nevada.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00 / yr.
