Matron for Surgery (Rowlett)

Actively hiring Bilingual Nurse Practitioner for local healthcare facility.

In this role you will work collaboratively with our physicians, staff, and patients to provide high-quality care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing care.

Bilingual in any of the following languages is a must : Swahili, Somali, Kinyarwanda, Tigrinya, Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Farsi, French, Burmese, Karen, or Rohingya.

Works under minimal supervision in accordance to department protocols. Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal and prescribes therapy or medication with physician approval.

Obtains, compiles, and records patients medical data, including health history, progress notes, and results of physical examination and administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests.

Counsels and instructs patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.

Consults with supervising physicians, specialists, and other health professionals as appropriate.

Visits and observes patients, updates charts, orders therapy, and reports back to physician and may prescribe medication if protocol permits.

Graduation from an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners. Must be licensed as a nurse practitioner by the State of Texas.

Knowledge of methods and procedures in the field of general medicine and of the principles of the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment plans.

Ability to examine, diagnose, and treat physical or mental disorders to interpret laboratory analyses and x- rays, perform surgical procedures, communicate effectively, and supervise the work of others.

Skill in the care and treatment of patients, in the use of medical diagnostic and treatment tools and equipment, and in the operation of computers and applicable computer software.
