About The Position

📝 Description :

  • Join a growing Level III NICU in a full-time role offering advanced neonatal care just north of Tampa. Work alongside neonatologists and a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity unit with a collaborative and supportive culture.

📋 Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct care to neonates in a 20-bed Level III NICU
  • Manage acute and chronic neonatal conditions
  • Collaborate with neonatologists and specialists in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and support immediate neonatal stabilization
  • Complete documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Work 16-hour shifts with the potential for 24-hour shifts as the unit expands

    • ⏰ Working Hours :

  • Varied 16-hour shifts
  • Potential for 24-hour shifts
  • No on-call requirement

    • 💡 Skills :

  • Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
  • Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity environments
  • Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting

    • Familiarity with NICU procedures, protocols, and EMRs

    Job Requirements

    🎓 Qualifications : For NPs :

  • Master’s Degree (minimum)
  • Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) – Required
  • Florida APRN license (or willing to obtain)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent NNP clinical experience (excluding RN or training)
  • DEA license (must be obtained before start)

    • For PAs :

  • Master’s Degree (minimum)
  • NCCPA Certification – Required
  • Neonatal PA training program – Highly Preferred
  • 2+ years of NICU-specific PA experience (excluding training)
  • Florida PA license (or willing to obtain)
  • DEA license (must be obtained before start)
