NMPP Energy, located in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking an Administrative Support Coordinator to join our Support Services team. Use your skills, experience, and talents to work as part of a collaborative team to provide administrative and operational support across NMPP Energy’s departments, helping ensure smooth office functions and efficient execution of organizational programs.

The Administrative Support Coordinator supports the mission of NMPP Energy by:

Providing professional and administrative support to the NMPP Energy team:

  • Greeting and welcoming NMPP Energy guests, answering and routing telephone calls, and responding to inquiries.
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail, recording incoming checks, and preparing packages for shipment.
  • Working collaboratively to provide general administrative and clerical support to all NMPP Energy employees and teams.
  • Coordinating meetings, including scheduling, arranging spaces and audiovisual equipment, preparing materials, and managing meal delivery, setup, and cleanup.
  • Scheduling and coordinating team meetings with members and partners, ensuring effective follow-up and support.
  • Utilizing the member contact database to produce reports and labels for staff as requested.
  • Preparing and reviewing reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external use.

Program Support:

  • Assisting in the coordination and execution of the NMPP Energy annual conference.
  • Facilitating energy efficiency and rebate programs, providing guidance to municipal staff on customer applications and questions.
  • Supporting marketing initiatives in collaboration with the communications team to promote NMPP Energy programs and services.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and retention of vendors as NMPP Champion members.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and following up on unpaid dues, conference fees, and training invoices in coordination with accounting staff.

Skills & Qualifications You Need

  • Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant work experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Strong administrative and clerical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and coordinate meetings efficiently.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on excellent customer service for guests, members, and staff.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, resolve routine issues independently, and follow through on tasks.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with basic computer tasks.
  • Commitment to developing and maintaining knowledge of NMPP Energy’s mission, programs, and services for member communities.

  • This is an on-site position and requires residency within a reasonable commuting distance of NMPP Energy in Lincoln, Nebraska.

About Us

Our members are our passion! NMPP Energy is a non-profit coalition of more than 130 municipally owned utility systems in the Central and Mountain states. We provide wholesale electricity, wholesale and retail natural gas, and utility services to member municipalities, most of which are small, rural communities. The Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN) is one of four organizations that make up the NMPP Energy Coalition. MEAN is a not-for-profit organization that provides wholesale electricity supply and services to 69 participating communities in four states.
