$28.08 - $35.90 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Schedule
1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.)
Flexibility with scheduled start and end times
Hybrid with minimum of three days on-site per week

Job Summary
McKee Foods is seeking a Design Drafter / Senior Design Drafter to join our Packaging Engineering Team .
- Use computer aided software to design equipment, prepare drawings that are clear, concise, and complete with all necessary details such as dimensions, materials, procedures and calculations
- Verify and check drawings thoroughly for accuracy, errors or omissions
- Select proper components for new design specifications by contacting vendors and manufacturers for information and reviewing equipment
- Prepare and submit work orders and material requisitions required for equipment and machinery fabrication and installation
- Correspond and collaborate with engineers, installation crews, Shops, and Purchasing
- Estimate total drafting time and coordinate estimates for fabrication and installation
- Take accurate field measurements for use in creating documents
- Coordinate and assist with equipment or product testing
- Support internal customers by providing part drawings and technical support
- Be an active participant in project team meetings
- Generate and maintain project status reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to travel up to 30%
Required Qualifications
Two years of college or Associate's degreeExperience with Solidworks and AutoCAD or similar softwareExcellent computer skillsStrong math skills with ability to accurately measure partsDemonstrated ability to research, analyze and resolve design conflict in fabrications and installationsAbility to assemble and complete detailed drawing packages which include : engineer final review, shop coordination, and installation supportDemonstrated excellence in relationship building with working partners; including peers, customers, and suppliers, while demonstrating a strong customer focusPreferred Qualifications
A.S. degree in a technical fieldExperience in equipment design with knowledge of design principles1+ year of formal drafting trainingExperience with Maximo, DBWorks, & Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with Shop Manufacturing ProcessesFamiliarity with detailed machine design and power transmission componentsBenefits
