Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead operations at a prominent mail order pounding pharmacy known for its premium services and nationwide reach. The role is based in Middletown, OH, and operates on the second shift with hours from 2 PM to 10 PM or 4 PM to 12 AM, including some weekends. This is a contract-to-hire position, beginning ASAP with an initial 13-week contract period.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage daily pharmacy operations to ensure efficient prescription processing and delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team including pharmacists, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Develop and implement policies to enhance operational efficiency and patient outes.
- Maintain pliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including DEA and HIPAA standards.
- Oversee inventory management and financial performance.
- Foster a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with pharmaceutical industry developments.
Desired Experience and Qualifications :
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.Valid Ohio pharmacist license.3 to 5 years of leadership experience in a pounding pharmacy environment.prehensive knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapy.Proficient in pharmacy software, particularly PioneerRx, and electronic health records.Strong munication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.mitment to ethical standards and patient safety.Experience with pounding non-sterile (capsules, creams, gels, ointments, pellets) and sterile medications (eye medications, injections / IVs).Benefits and Perks :
