Job descriptionA hospital is seeking a cardiac anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage. In Northern Illinois, you can experience the vibrant culture of Chicago, from exploring world-class museums like the Art Institute of Chicago to enjoying live music and entertainment in the city's iconic neighborhoods! The schedule will be Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:00pm. Call will be 1 weeknight per week and 1-2 weekends per month. There will be both beeper and in-house. In-house is for trauma or OB. Weeknight in-house call is 16 hours from 3:00pm - 7:00am after the 8-hour shift. The clinician must have an active IL license, CSR, and DEA for temporary privileges. The clinician will be 100% hands-on for cardiac (typically 3 cases per week) There will be all open hearts: CABG, AVR, MVR, lots of Watchmans, EP cases, vascular, thoracic, general, ENT, ortho, OB (not required, but preferred), neuro (heads and spine), basic peds, trauma, and regionals. The clinician will be in general rotation when not doing hearts.
