Job description
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to assist in the daily operations of our furniture manufacturing facility.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various stages of production, assembly, packaging, and shipment of furniture products while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly and construction of furniture pieces according to specifications.
- Load, unload, and move materials within the production area.
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery used in the furniture production process.
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality assurance.
- Assist in packaging and preparing products for shipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations at all times.
- Support other departments as needed in day-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an asset.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to [weight limit], typically around 50 lbs).
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and machinery.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow directions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
