Dietary Cook / Lead Cook
Full-Time | 4 Days On / 2 Days Off Rotation

We are currently seeking an experienced Dietary Cook / Lead Cook to join our culinary team.
This is not an entry-level cooking position — we are looking for someone with strong kitchen experience, leadership ability, and a genuine passion for preparing quality meals.

Schedule
- Full-Time
- Rotating Schedule: 4 Days On / 2 Days Off
- Weekends and holidays required as scheduled
Dietary Cook / Lead Cook Responsibilities
- Prepare meals for regular and therapeutic diets according to planned menus and standardized recipes
- Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and presented with quality, consistency, and attention to detail
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures in compliance with company policies and health regulations
- Maintain appropriate food temperatures during preparation, holding, and service
- Accurately record food and equipment temperatures according to established procedures
- Ensure meals are served in an attractive, appetizing, and timely manner
- Assist with menu execution for special events, holiday meals, and resident functions
- Monitor food inventory and notify management of needed supplies or shortages
- Properly label, date, rotate, and store food items following established guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, prep, storage, and service areas
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation procedures
- Support teamwork within the dietary department and assist with training or guiding kitchen staff when needed
- Make recommendations for improvements in recipes, menu items, kitchen operations, and food service processes
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional cooking experience required
- Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, catering, restaurant, hotel, country club, or high-volume food service environments preferred
- Ability to prepare multiple menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
- Ability to work independently and lead by example in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
SERVSAFE Certification is a strong plus!
