Job description

A hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, has an opening for a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide locum coverage.

Target Start Date

2 / 12 / 2024

Target End Date

4 / 30 / 2024

Opening Highlights :

  • Schedule : 8a-4p, Monday-Friday
  • No call
  • Patient Ages : 18+
  • Daily Volume : 7-10 patients
  • Support Staff : Residents, psychology, RN, mental health worker, SW, OT
  • EMR : Epic
  • Board certification required
  • Paid travel & expenses

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner Massachusetts state license
  • Graduate from a fully accredited NP program
  • One year of work experience as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • One year of Epic experience
  • Board Certified

    • SKILLS / ABILITIES / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

    • Requirements :
