Senior Manager, Retention, Product Growth & Monetization

Location : Palo Alto, CA

About the Job :

Reporting to the Head of Product Growth, you will strategize and execute on how we go to market with a product monetization and business model that is aligned with customer value.

As Senior Manager of Retention, you'll own the product strategy for improving customer retention across all segments—from fast-growing SMBs to Fortune 500. You'll work cross-functionally to identify points of friction, build proactive sales plays, and ensure customers are satisfied and continue to grow with Rubrik. This high-impact role is responsible for driving customer loyalty and reducing churn by partnering with teams like Product, Renewals, Support, Data and Sales to identify churn signals and scale re-engagement tactics. At every turn, our team will strive to uncover value and opportunities for the Business.

Responsibilities include :

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer success, product management, and analytics, to reduce churn and drive customer retention.
  • Create and implement customer experiences that proactively address pain points and reinforce the value our product provides.
  • Gather the voice of the customer and share with cross-functional teams to help drive necessary improvements from lessons learned.
  • Empower our Customer Success team by creating playbooks and resources that enable them to have impactful conversations and deliver a compelling value proposition.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to identify behaviors correlated with churn risks and execute strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Monitor KPIs for retention and churn, continually optimizing efforts to align with growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with product teams to influence the product roadmap, advocating for features and improvements based on customer feedback and unmet needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement by testing, learning, and iterating quickly to deliver value at a high velocity.

About You (Your Impact)

You know how to drive monetization and business model strategy from a deep understanding of customers, markets and technologies. You are analytical and curious. You are skilled at financial modeling. You excel at distilling complexity into clear-cut, concise strategy, and are comfortable communicating this in written and visual form. You’re scrappy, get stuff done, and have a strong sense of ownership.

Qualifications include :

  • BA / BS degree, top MBA preferred but not required.
  • 6+ years of experience in pricing, management consulting, investment banking, product management or business operations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including translating financial models into executive-facing content.
  • Strong passion for technical products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
