Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Reston, VA (20190) – Northern Virginia healthcare jobs

Facility Setting : Labor & Delivery Unit (15 LDR rooms, OB triage, 3 ORs, Level III NICU)

Assignment Type : Travel RN contract

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 9, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour shifts (7 : 00am–7 : 00pm and 7 : 00pm–7 : 00am)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1630–$1750 per week

Dress Code : Hospital-supplied scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a high-volume clinical setting

BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate certification preferred

Experience circulating C-sections and caring for high acuity obstetric patients

Ability to float within women's and children's healthcare service lines

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care to mothers in labor and postpartum

Circulate and assist in C-section deliveries and other obstetric procedures

Administer IV medications (e.g., magnesium sulfate) and monitor high-risk patients

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Document patient care using Meditech and CPN electronic health record systems

Float to related units within the women's and children's department as needed
