Local Contract CT Technologist - $50-65 per hour

Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CT Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a CT Technologist at a Prestigious Imaging Center in Brooklyn, NY. Job Function : Day Shift. 8 : 30am - 4 : 30pm. Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology. Correctly chooses appropriate patient information from HIS / RIS system in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Positions patient and radiographic equipment appropriate to the body part(s) to be radiographed and adjusts equipment settings accordingly to ensure maximum information is obtained. Answers all questions that the patient may have. Performs transmission and / or segmentation for transmission to PACS in a complete and proper anatomic display. When doing cases that require immediate results such as Code Grey, Trauma and Partial Trauma the images will be acquired, processed, sent and verified / completed in PACS / RIS system per established protocol l(Immediately after acquisition for Code Grey). The CT technologist will notify the radiologist as Code Grey images are being sent and follow with any processed data after. All staff should notify the radiologist of ANY unusual finding to provide the optimum care for the patient. Job Requirements : Minimum of 1 year of CT Tech experience. Current certification / licensure as required for the position. BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
