Duties:
At the GS-07/GS-09/GS-11, you will perform developmental duties as assigned. At the full performance level (GS-12), you will:
- Conduct regular reviews of clauses used in automated and manual procurements.
- Ensure format codes include mandated clauses and provisions based on contract type and clause prescriptions.
- Serve as the functional administrator for automated procurement systems, including establishing profiles and access consistent with security and regulatory restrictions.
- Provide administrative and technical support toward the development and operation of information technology applications related to contracting functions.
- Be responsible for making recommendations of best practices for implementation of acquisition systems.
Requirements:

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications:
GS-07: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of regulations, policies, practices and/or procedures employed in contracts and purchase orders.
GS-09: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of regulations, policies, practices and procedures employed in contracts and/or purchase orders.
GS-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of regulations, policies, practices and procedures employed in contracts and purchase orders.
GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of regulations, policies, practices and procedures employed in contracts and purchase orders.
Education:
Basic Education Requirements: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. In addition to the above basic requirement, in lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- GS-07: 1 full academic year of graduate education or law school or a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
- GS-09: 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or master's or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D.
- GS-11: 3 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
- GS-12: There is no substitute of education for experience for this series at this grade level.
