Job Description : The Physical Therapy Attendant will assist physical therapists and assistants with patient preparation and assists with patient care as instructed by a therapist. They perform tasks to maintain the department in an orderly, clean and safe condition.

• Patient and treatment room preparation.
• Stock supplies, cleans and maintains equipment.
• Monitor patient safety while on modalities and safely remove patient from modalities, per therapists direction.
• Assists department in the areas of : budgeting, setting yearly department goals, revising work instructions, providing in-service training and education and assisting with improving patient satisfaction survey scores.
• Performs clerical duties such as : billing, scheduling, answering phones and computer usage.
• Assists therapist in patient transfers and ambulation and / or exercise.

Job Qualifications : High School graduate or equivalent. One year of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues; demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to make independent decisions. Exerting up to 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10-20 pounds of force often.
