Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and optimize our purchasing operations. This pivotal role involves leading procurement operations of all direct and indirect materials, negotiating with suppliers, and building a forward-looking supply chain strategy. The Procurement Manager will also oversee the implementation of an advanced inventory management system to ensure compliance with FAR 52.245-1 government property management regulations. The successful candidate will manage annual purchasing and expenditures exceeding $1 million.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead all procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and high-quality souring
• Develop and maintain reputable vendor relationships that support both current operations and future manufacturing requirements
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to cost, quality, and delivery standards
• Organize and oversee weekly and monthly physical inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Implement and maintain a cutting-edge inventory tracking system aligned with FAR 52.245-1 government property management requirements
• Provide guidance on government property management regulations, ensuring full compliance across all operations
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, reporting resolution outcomes to ensure transparency
• Verify and reconcile incoming orders from vendors, confirming accuracy and completeness of materials received
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with production schedules and long-term business needs
• Implement a data-driven supply chain model, incorporating Make to Order, Make to Sock, and Customer Managed Inventory strategies
