Why Wendy's

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of customer service, high touch-point communication to align priority projects, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple concurrent projects. This person will be responsible for providing a variety of maintenance related items servicing a large number of restaurant locations.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair cooking and prep equipment (e.g. refrigeration, grill, fryer)

Provide interior and exterior maintenance services including, but not limited to: HVAC repair, refrigeration repair, electrical repair, plumbing repair, painting, carpentry, ceramic floor and tile repair, and acoustical ceiling repair.

Develop and maintain solid working relationships with internal customers, outside vendors, suppliers and service providers; order and return parts as necessary.

Operate and maintain a company service vehicle, must be able to maintain a vehicle log.

Ability to drive over 40,000+ miles per year and be available on-call as necessary.

Occasional computer and administrative work.

What we expect from you

Skills & Training Requirements:
  • Solid background in HVAC and refrigeration troubleshooting and repair.
  • Must have ability to use business software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to climb and work from 6' ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist, grasp, and lift up to 50 lbs. to perform essential job functions.
  • Competently use a variety of gauges, meters, measuring instruments, hoists, rigging equipment, torches, and hand tools.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and overall general handyman skills.
  • Aptitude to learn and apply new skills & technologies quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated, self-directed, requiring minimal supervision with time management ability.
  • Must have a clear driving record and be insurable on company auto insurance policy.
