PURPOSE
Work in concert with Word of Life Enrollment Management to recruit students to Davis College’s Main Campus and to provide an accurate, consistent, and responsive application process, ensuring frequent communication with prospective students and parents. The person filling this role will function primarily as a Marketing Production Staff; a salesperson and a customer service representative for potential students and current students online, on campus, and teaching sites. The person in this role also acts as a "lead admissions counselor" in the absence of the Director of Admissions to supervise and ensure that office expectations and rules are being followed, work is being done and developing according to schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
o A clear-cut personal testimony of faith in Christ.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
o Strong conversational, organizational, and communication skills.
o Strong relational focus.
o Handle responsibilities with good judgment and etiquette.
o Mature and responsible, exhibiting professional demeanor while representing Davis both in and out of the office.
o The ability to switch between task-oriented and people-oriented functions based on the scenario.
o Enthusiastic commitment to the mission of Davis College.
o Organizational skills; planning, self-motivation, accountability, delegation, and evaluation.
o Ability to work independently with a commitment to collaboration.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media
Managing Instagram, Davis College Facebook, Facebook Alumni page platforms, etc.
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following :
o Managing and ensuring all social media posts are prepper and posted in a timely manner to maintain consistent engagement with the community.
o Designing and Making posts.
o Gathering content.
o Taking photos around campus and at student events.
o Getting student and alumni interviews and making promotional and other videos.
o Creating and managing a Davis alumni Facebook page.
o Facilitating any online giveaways.
o Frequent posting of Davis-related posts on Facebook and Instagram.
o Upholding the Davis brand on social media platforms and adhering to Davis’ standards.
o Submitting weekly reports to the supervisor that summarizes weekly activities and future activities and goals.
o Other duties as requested by Supervisor.
Recruitment
This includes but is not limited to :
o Represent Davis College at a wide range of events.
o Occasionally speak about Davis College at various events.
o Create and implement Davis Retention Strategy for Word of Life transfer students.
o Help prospective students to apply and get accepted to the school by calling, texting, and emailing.
Helping with on campus and external recruitment events such as the WOLBI college fair, “The Next Steps” seminar, Coffee Fridays, as well as other fairs / conventions we attend.
o Assist in the on-campus activities of campus visitors, Visit Days, and other related events.
o Brainstorming and carrying out other opportunities for on campus recruitment.
o Being involved with summer recruitment and helping the other admissions counselors with reaching out to external leads, making phone calls and answering the phones as needed.
Enrollment
This includes but is not limited to :
o Contact and follow up with prospective students for On-Campus, DOL, and Teaching Site by using every possible means (face-to-face, texting, social media, phone, mail, and email) to lead them through the application process.
o Regularly reaching out to WOLBI 2nd years by email, having meetings with them and helping them through the admissions process.
o Ensure the accuracy of all student application documentation. Handle sensitive and private information in accordance with FERPA regulations.
o Facilitate the process of Junior to Senior retention.
o Work with the marketing team to have emails and promotions sent to students regularly.
o Continue “confirmation care” by checking in with confirmed students who will be attending in the Fall / Spring / Summer. Maintaining consistent relationships with confirmed students, encouraging them, and making sure they have everything that they need leading up to the appropriate semester.
o Assists with special programs and research projects assigned by the President.
o Develops and implements enrollment strategies to convert applicants to new students.
o Transfers completed files to the Academics Office at the start of each semester.
Student Life Activities
The goal is to ensure our current students have activities that are exclusively for them, and you would be the person to help facilitate these activities.
This includes but is not limited to :
o Helping to coordinate and run student life events for our current and confirmed students a few times a year.
o Organizing and running the valentine's day fundraiser, student hangouts, and end of year celebrations.
Miscellaneous
o Fulfill common Davis College responsibilities.
o Assist with the registration and orientation of new students.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
o Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
o Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
o Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart information to a range of clientele and / or media sources.
o Knowledge of current and developing information services capacity requirements to support operational needs and directions.
o Ability to meet deadlines.
OTHER
This job requires the staff member to be able to lift boxes that weigh up to 30 pounds on occasion. It may also require bending, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, grasping, and repetitive motions
