Expected pay for this position is $19.35 - $21.78 / hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY : The Lead GI Assistant establishes work priorities, organizes, assigns work to and coordinates activities of Mission Partners engaged in high level disinfection and workflow of the GI Lab. Trains mission partners for special handling, high level disinfection, and manual disinfection of scopes / probes for GI Lab / Pulmonary Lab, and reviews work to ensure completion in accordance with established policies, procedures, and governing bodies associated with endoscopic procedures. Coordinates instrument repairs and maintenance through third party vendor ensuring scopes / probes meet all standards and requirements for use.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Education :

  • High School Diploma / GED

Experience :

  • 6 months Sterile Processing or 6 months experience operating an Automated Endoscope Reprocessor (AER)
  • Licensure / Certification :

  • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) or able to obtain within 12 months of hire
  • Other Skills / Knowledge :

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize mathematical skills and prior experience with identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

    Experience :

  • 6 months previous supervisory experience
