With our wide range of services and clients, you'll work on projects that matter as part of the Honkamp team.     A Typical Day in the Life :

  • As a tax supervisor, you will oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery for a diverse client base.

    • Responsibilities may include :

  • Onboard and mentor new staff and interns while supervising workload distribution Preparation of the highest level of returns and workpapers and draft technical memos Detail review of tax returns, providing feedback and strategic insights Develop expertise in specialized tax areas and respond to IRS / state notices Contribute to training initiatives including content development Ensure timely and accurate completion of client engagements Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for value-added services Support administrative tasks, stay current with tax law and technology, and recommend process improvements If you have experience in tax, excellent communication skills, and are committed to delivering top-quality service to our clients, this position may be for you!   Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required 5+ years of public accounting experience in tax preparation and review Actively pursuing CPA or other relevant certification(s) Demonstrated expertise in at least one tax type (business or individual); working knowledge of others Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel and Word) Strong ability to interpret tax documentation and regulations Keen attention to detail Excellent communication and analytical skills Top Benefits and Perks :   As a tax supervisor, you’ll enjoy :   Competitive Compensation Benefits package that includes health / dental / vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and paid holidays Flexible schedules and summer Fridays EOE ​​​​​​​ Powered by JazzHR
