Salary : $19 - $24 hour ($39,500 - $49,900 annually)

Key Responsibilities :

Submit, manage, and post insurance claims for both commercial and government payors

Investigate and resolve denied or unpaid claims to ensure timely reimbursement

Process aging reports, handle appeals, and follow up on outstanding accounts

Post patient payments and adjustments accurately and promptly

Maintain detailed records, prepare financial reports, and communicate with insurance carriers

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer-specific guidelines

Qualifications :

Minimum 2 years of hands-on medical billing experience (beyond AR follow-up)

Solid understanding of medical terminology, CPT / ICD-10 coding, and insurance billing

Experience with both commercial and non-commercial payors (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic billing systems

Preferred : Experience working in a central billing office or multi-specialty practice

Familiarity with EHR platforms such as ModMed, Epic, or AthenaHealth

Strong organizational and communication skills
