We are Hiring for our Clients EHS Team in White, GA Overview :
We're looking for a detail-oriented and safety-focused individual to join our team as a UCC Technician. In this role, you'll work in a Unified Command Center (UCC), monitoring safety and emergency systems such as gas detectors, fire alarms, and emergency notifications. You'll be the first to respond to alerts and help coordinate quick, effective action to keep the facility and its people safe.
Pay : $24.00 / hr (+$1.00 for Night Shift) What you'll do :
- Watch real-time safety system alerts and alarms (gas, fire, and emergency systems).
- Quickly report alarms or unusual activity to the proper internal teams.
- Keep accurate records of alarms, actions taken, and system checks.
- Regularly check that all monitoring tools and equipment are working properly.
- Use radios, paging systems, and communication platforms to stay connected with emergency teams.
- Help test and document safety system alarms.
- Support the Emergency Operations team with incident reports and process improvements.
- Stay aware of all safety-related conditions across the site and alert leadership when needed.
What We're Looking For :
At least 1 year of experience working in a control room, operations center, or similar environment (preferred).Some knowledge of safety systems like gas detection or fire alarms (bonus if you've worked with systems like Honeywell or Siemens).Able to read alarms and follow emergency instructions carefully and accurately.Key Skills :
Stay calm and alert during high-pressure situations.Comfortable using computers, email, and basic software (like Microsoft Word and Excel).Speak and write clearly.Pay close attention to detail and juggle multiple tasks.Work well on your own and manage time effectively.Education :
High school diploma or GED required.Associate degree or technical training in a related field is a plus, but not required.Physical Requirements :
Sit for long periods (up to 12 hours) while monitoring systems.Move around the command center as needed and communicate using a headset or radio.Occasionally walk, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs.If you're a calm, detail-driven person who takes safety seriously, we'd love to hear from you.
