Primary Purpose :

Ensure the efficient operation of the department and provide clerical support to department staff and effectively communicating with external community partners.

Qualifications :

Education / Certification :

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency); &
• Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the applicant

Office Climate

1) Assist staff as needed.

2) Greet visitors with professionalism and courtesy.

3) Maintain and assist with operation of office equipment / machines as needed.

Communication and Phones

1) Schedule meetings and appointments for administrative staff.

Records and Reports

1) Perform general office procedures including typing, filing, mail, duplication of materials, data processing, editing and general bookkeeping / recordkeeping.

2) Assist with processing and dissemination of department reports, documents, as directed by administrator.

3) Maintain general office files : save / store required documents per policy and administrative procedures.

4) Initiate, update and close out work orders using a computerized work order system.
