Ortho-Neuro - Registered Nurse

Experience :

• 24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from last 4 years.
• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements :

50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details :

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and / or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Roles requiring a state licensure only : Cannot have any licensure hits

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Common diagnoses / Types of patients Alot of elective surgeries : hips, knees, shoulders; some fractures from falls; back & neck (Neuro-surgeries), as well as general MedSurg

Experience or ‘Must have’ skills Must have experience with ortho patients & PCA Pumps

Weekend Requirement Every-other-weekend. Weekend shifts for Nights are Fri / Sat / Sun; Days are Sat / Sun

Holiday Requirement Holidays will depend on the needs of the unit. If they don’t have enough perm staff to cover holidays, travelers would be expected to work holidays.

Floating Requirements Travelers are the 1st to float. Floating is required to any MedSurg units. If floated to Tele they would be assigned patients w / in skillset.

Scrub Color / Dress Code Royal Blue - Scrub jackets are not required; however, if they wear a jacket it must be an actual scrub jacket & must be royal blue. No hoodies or sweat-jackets.

1 reference from last 2 years (Charge / Lead reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager / Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
