Job Title : Formulation Tech I

Shift : 12hr. (2,3,2 Rotation)

Hours : 6 : 30am-6 : 30pm EST

Pay : $21 / hr.

Location / Division Specific Information :

The Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) provides innovative diagnostic solutions for select IVD market segments and has been a trusted supplier in the IVD industry for over 40 years. The division provides products for drugs of abuse testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, quality control, sepsis diagnosis, prenatal screening and more.

How Will You Make an Impact? :

As part of the Middletown, VA team, some of the world's largest suppliers of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products rely on us as their OEM and contract manufacturing partner. With over 35 years of experience, customers count on us for quality, compliance, and reliability.

A Day in the Life :

Prepare and inspect equipment for use in chemical and bio-formulations. Set up pumps, filters, tubing connections and mixers.

Follow SOPs to calculate the amount of chemical needed to formulate. Weigh and mix chemicals with diluents under controlled conditions.

Document steps accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance.

Continuously monitor product for defects.

Help improve the production process by making suggestions for improvement.

Clean and maintain equipment and work space.

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience :

Required : No previous work experience required

Preferred : Previous work experience in manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field

Preferred : Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :

Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language.

Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours a day)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to move repetitively, including pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, grasping, and crouching
