POSITION : Design Technician

JOB TYPE :

W2, Full Time, On-Going Contract

LOCATION : Peoria, IL

JOB SUMMARY FOR DESIGN TECHNICIAN :

  • Hiring a Design Technician for a leading manufacturer in Peoria, IL.
  • Pay range : $24.60-26.60 / hour depending on benefits.
  • M-F, flexible hours as long as 8hrs / day; no OT

This job is subject to Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI) which prohibits the release of technology and technical data to non-U.S. citizens. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR DESIGN TECHNICIAN :

  • Creo model updates
  • Creation or modification of engineering drawings
  • Teamcenter updates
  • Design control updates
  • Checking and review of engineering drawings

    • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR DESIGN TECHNICIAN :

  • High school diploma or GED required with 5-7 years experience.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience

    • SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR DESIGN TECHNICIAN :

  • Design & Engineering Support : Experience supporting design modifications to meet military standards, particularly in powertrain and transmission systems.
  • Technical Proficiency : Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering prints, schematics, and design specifications; proficient with Creo, EDS, and Teamcenter.
  • Communication & Collaboration : Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective in cross-functional teams using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Worksite & Clearance Requirements : Must be a U.S. citizen (due to defense contract requirements) and available to work onsite 5 days a week.
