Job descriptionTravel RN Oncology position at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Role involves working on a medical / surgical oncology unit with chemotherapy administration and blood products. Patient ratio is typically 5 : 1, sometimes 6 : 1. Unit has 24 beds. EMR system used is Cerner. Scrub color is navy blue. RN Indiana licensure required. ACLS certification required. BLS certification required. Oncology background preferred. 2+ years of experience required. Travelers must attach required license and certifications or will be rejected. Lutheran employed staff required to obtain chemo / biotherapy certification within one year of employment. Shift : Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM. Call requirements : Every other or every third weekend, holidays on rotation schedule, no on-call requirements. Floating required. 72 hours bi-weekly (96 hours bi-weekly not an option). Every other holiday required. Medical / surgical oncology unit. Chemotherapy administration and blood products. Patient ratio 5 : 1 sometimes 6 : 1. 24 beds in unit. Scrub color navy blue. Travelers must be greater than 50 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted.
