While prior experience selling mattresses would be nice, it isn’t necessary – we will teach you everything you need to know and help you become an expert on all things sleep.  Prior experience in a retail, sales or customer service position of some sort is essential.

Job Summary

As a Retail Sleep Consultant for the Ethical Mattress Company, you will provide our customers with an outstanding shopping experience, fitting them for the best possible mattress and pillows to meet their specific needs.  To be successful, you must listen closely to your customers and identify their needs, deploying your knowledge and expertise to help them find the perfect sleep solution for their situation.

You will support customer interactions across our entire omni-channel business, working to provide an outstanding experience for customers in our store, on our site, or over the phone. And to recognize the role you'll play supporting sales across all channels, you will be commissioned on sales across all channels, including those customers you may not have met or interacted with.

This role is located in Millburn, New Jersey, and is exclusively an on-site role at our retail store located at 387 Millburn Avenue. The position is intended as part-time to start (20-30 hours per week), but can quickly grow to a full-time position if that is what you're seeking.  Whether part-time or full-time, our ideal candidate is someone looking for a long-term role and with the potential to grow with the business.

This position pays $22 per hour, plus sales commission.
