R&D Tax Credit Senior Associate

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project work plans and timelines to ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
  • Lead and manage multiple engagements concurrently, overseeing client interviews, data analysis, and coordination of internal and external resources.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client personnel across operations, finance, accounting, and engineering functions.
  • Evaluate financial records and technical documentation to uncover opportunities and quantify client value.
  • Prepare and validate R&D credit calculations using proprietary software tools.
  • Address client inquiries promptly and ensure deliverables are met with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Interpret and synthesize large datasets, particularly accounting cost data, to support tax credit eligibility.
  • Draft and refine detailed technical reports and project summaries.
  • Determine qualifying expenditures under Sections 174 and 41 through in-depth expense analysis.
  • Partner with the internal tax team to develop and implement optimal tax planning strategies.
  • Conduct research on evolving tax regulations and industry-specific developments.
  • Champion a client-first approach to deliver an exceptional service experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of R&D tax credit experience required.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience with project management and client management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to articulate and relay information effectively and efficiently.
  • High sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with company and client information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
