Director of Operations - Mechanical Construction - Kentucky

Gryphon Oakwood is currently working for a leading mechanical contractor in the Mid-west. The role will involve leading the regional commercial operations across the states of Kentucky and Tennessee.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage regional commercial operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to company standards.
• Provide strategic direction to project management, field operations, and support teams across both states.
• Oversee project scheduling, manpower planning, resource allocation, and cost control.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with estimating, engineering, and business development teams to support pre-construction efforts and client relationships.
• Mentor and develop operational leadership, including project managers, superintendents, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
• Drive operational excellence and profitability through process optimization and effective risk management.
• Represent the company in client meetings, industry associations, and regional business forums.
