Our client, a rapidly growing, privately held company headquartered in Birmingham, AL, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a high-visibility role with a clear growth path to Controller as the organization continues to expand across the South. The position is open due to growth and will oversee the accounting function for four office locations.

The Accounting Manager will work closely with the CFO and collaborate across departments within a company known for its strong culture, supportive leadership, and exceptionally friendly team. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations for four regional office locations
• Manage all accounting activities for assigned projects
• Apply percentage-of-completion method for revenue recognition and financial reporting
• Lead month-end close, financial statements, and account reconciliations
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow activities
• Partner closely with the CFO on strategic initiatives and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Support project accounting workflows and work cross-functionally with operational teams
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed
