The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineer–(Experienced or Senior) (Virtual) to support our Boeing Automation and Software Engineering (BASE) team located in Seattle, Washington. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

Position Responsibilities

• Serve as lead developer for BASE tools : design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment of the legacy Excel / VBA Design Practice lists and related data extraction tools.
• Develop and maintain the Bulk Updater to modify PBC content at scale across thousands of pages.
• Create and maintain automated bots for quality checks, defect list generation, notifications, and phased auto‑change capabilities.
• Deliver formatted DP data to Process Sets and Enterprise Software standards, templates, and checklist owners.
• Lead the development of a new web application : maintain baselined requirements, architecture, design, implementation, and test artifacts; replace the legacy tool with a questionnaire‑based filtering interface.
• Design, implement, and maintain APIs for read / write access to DP and content stores.
• Implement automated testing across unit, integration, and system levels; participate in CI / CD pipeline development and release management.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and technical grooming.
• Mentor engineers, coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders, and provide technical leadership.
• Ensure software quality, safety, configuration management, and change control requirements are met.
• Provide troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support as needed.

Pay & Benefits

At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that includes competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations. The summary pay range for Experienced Level is $110,500 – $172,500.
