Position Summary :
The Commercial Facilities Technician is an entry-level role focused on supporting the day-to-day operations and upkeep of commercial properties. This position performs routine maintenance, basic repairs, and cleanliness tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for commercial tenants, associates, and visitors for Woodin Creek Village, Woodinville City Center as well as other Weidner properties / sites as needed. The role requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support operations across assigned commercial properties. A successful Commercial Facilities Technician is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with commercial tenants, associates, and vendors while overseeing consistent delivery of repairs and maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete day porter activities including cleaning common areas, trash removal, sweeping, pressure washing, painting and cobweb removeal
- Respond to tenant and associate service requests in a timely, professional manner
- Monitor preventative maintenance scheduled, perform limited maintenance tasks as required, such as tightening door hardware, replacing acoustical ceiling tile, replacing light bulbs in common areas
- Conduct routine inspections of building equipment, common areas, roofs, parking areas, landscaping, lighting, music, signage, and safety systems; work with Commercial Asset team to provide corrective actions in a timely manner
- Assist and complete basic plumbing repairs
- Responsible for conducting regular inspections for safety, security, and appearance concerns; escalate issues as needed
- Checking and responding to security and safety issues
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with commercial tenants, associates, and contractors
- Actively participate in team meetings and share ideas for operational improvements
- Must use personal vehicle to respond to service requests and pick up supplies as needed
- Accompany vendors throughout buildings and when necessary to vacant and / or occupied units, as needed
- Monitor supplies and maintain equipment
- Ensure maintenance shop / custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all times
