Job Details

  • Registered Nurses in the Intensive Care Unit are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care delivery by :
  • Assesses, utilizing age-specific data, the patient’s physical, and psychosocial, status in a comprehensive manner
  • Demonstrates accurate assessment skills, appropriate to the age of the patient
  • Performs ongoing assessments and completes required documentation within organizational standards
  • Performs and documents including observation, physical examination, laboratory / test results, and patient response to procedural intervention
  • Participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs, as evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning, to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Assists other staff in the delivery of patient care, as appropriate
  • Incorporates patient teaching / discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes

  • 2+ years of ICU Experience - Required
  • BLS (AHA) - Required
  • ACLS (AHA) - Required
  • IL RN License - Required
  • Work history
  • Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
  • 2 Supervisory References with dates employed listed
  • Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)
