Job Title : Assembler

Job Description

As an assembler, you will work with fiber cables, measuring, cutting, and placing them in clips according to blueprints or detailed work instructions. Your role will require feeding color-coded wires through connectors with precision, applying epoxy, and ensuring each wire is correctly positioned. You will operate small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes to complete assemblies, which will then undergo curing, polishing, and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, and place fiber cables in clips.
  • Follow blueprints or detailed work instructions to feed color-coded wires through connectors.
  • Apply epoxy and pull wires through to complete coding.
  • Use small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes for assembly.
  • Place assemblies into curing devices and ensure epoxy coatings dry correctly.
  • Run assemblies through a final polishing stage and test connections for functionality.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience with small parts or medical device assembly.
  • Proficiency in guidewire and microscope assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to see and differentiate colors accurately.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in catheter stringing or similar assembly processes.

    Work Environment

    The newly renovated facility is expanding rapidly, set to grow from a small team to nearly 100 employees within 6-9 months. The work takes place in a clean room environment without strict dress code requirements. Assemblers are required to wear a smock over their clothing but may choose additional protective gear if desired. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m., transitioning to 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Thursday with optional overtime on Fridays starting November 3rd.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / hr.

    This is a fully onsite position in Oakdale,MN.
