About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Cardiology / IMC Stepdown

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Specialty : Cardiology / IMC Stepdown

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12H Day / Night Rotate

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : 2 years of Cardiology experience required

License : RN license in ND or a compact state

Certifications : BLS and ACLS (both must be AHA)

Must-Have :

• 2 years of Cardiology experience
• Competency in central line cares, chest tubes, foleys, trach cares, heparin gtts, insulin gtts, angiograms, post-pacemaker, and post-TAVR procedures

Description :

The role involves ensuring provider orders are maintained.

Candidates will perform chest tube insertions and titrate medications such as low dose pressors if required.

Foley catheter insertion is also a part of the job duties.

The unit utilizes EPIC charting, Omnicell, Alaris IV pumps, and Central Monitoring systems.

The typical bed capacity is 34 beds with a mix of cardiac-based medical floor and IMC patients.

Nurse to patient ratios vary from 1 : 4 to 1 : 5 on day shifts, and can be as high as 1 : 3 for IMC patients.

Training and support are provided through experienced charge nurses available during day shifts.

The team manages a range of cardiac-based diagnoses, including CHF, pacemaker placements, PCIs, TAVRs, heart caths, and afib with rapid ventricular response.

A cancellation policy allows for client cancellations up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
