We are seeking a Lead Test Engineer Selenium to join our team.

This role will involve leading automation testing initiatives, designing and maintaining automation frameworks, and validating web, API, and backend systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, database testing, and mainframe validation , along with a strong passion for quality engineering and automation excellence .

Job Description :

Trilyon, Inc. is seeking a Lead Test Engineer Selenium to oversee test automation strategies, framework development, and execution across multiple testing layers including web, API, and backend systems . The Lead Test Engineer Selenium will collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure product quality, performance, and reliability. This role requires a strong background in automation frameworks, backend validation, and mainframe testing.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG .

Develop and execute automation test scripts for web applications, APIs, and backend processes.

Perform backend and database validation using SQL queries and data comparison techniques.

Validate Mainframe system workflows , including job executions, batch processes, and data consistency checks.

Review and refine test cases, automation scripts, and test reports created by team members.

Monitor and track testing milestones to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile / Scrum environments to define testing requirements and ensure coverage.

Troubleshoot and resolve automation or environment-related issues during the test lifecycle.

Maintain continuous integration testing pipelines and ensure automation scripts are CI / CD ready.

Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.

The Lead Test Engineer Selenium will also ensure that automation strategies align with project goals and organizational quality standards. The Lead Test Engineer Selenium will contribute to innovation by continuously improving test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

3 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing .

Strong expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG framework .

Proficiency in backend testing , including data and file validation.

Experience with database systems (DB2, Oracle DB) and mainframe technologies (JCL, batch processing, job scheduling).

Ability to perform SQL-based validations and complex query optimizations.

Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum methodology and collaborative team development.

Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills .

Proven ability to lead testing teams, review test artifacts, and ensure consistent quality.

Desirable Skills :

Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.

Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).

Familiarity with performance testing and automation within CI / CD pipelines.
