Control Engineer

Overview

Base pay range : $75,000.00 / yr - $95,000.00 / yr. Our client, a leader in low and medium voltage systems, is hiring an Electrical Control Engineer to join their team in San Antonio. The role involves applying variable speed drives, reduce voltage solid state starters, switchgear, power transformers, DCS / PLC systems, control panels, and integrated power control rooms. Matching construction professionals with multifamily developers, commercial general contractors and homebuilders.

Responsibilities

• Design power and control logic circuits
• Determine size of power components, wiring, and over-current protection
• Determine heat loading and enclosure cooling requirements
• Create bill of materials
• Research and investigate control options and new technologies
• Provide technical support, including field support when required
• Assist sales with design
• Assist / train wiring technicians when required
• Assist with final testing when required
