American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring recent L&D and charge experience, with night shifts and advanced OB certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit within a hospital settingCare provided for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and surgical C-section cases, as well as patients up to 34 weeks in the Special Care NurserySix LDR rooms, ten postpartum rooms with swing capacity, two ORs, OBED, and six-bed SCN unitPatient ratios are 1 : 1 to 1 : 2 for labor and delivery, with couplet care at 1 : 3Schedule is night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00) including all days with a weekend requirement every third weekendOn-call is required approximately one to three shifts per six weeksFloating to other OB units within scope is required to meet staffing needsCharting is completed in Epic EMRProvide comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and operative care for OB patients, including high-risk mothers on magnesium sulfate and preterm labor managementDeliveries conducted by OBs and CNMsWork with a collaborative team focused on evidence-based, family-centered care in a supportive environmentMust wear green scrubs while on shiftHoliday coverage may be required according to staffing needsTraining modules to be completed during onboarding; approximately four hours pre-startNo blocked scheduling requests acceptedLocal candidates living within 75 miles are considered at the local rate\n \n Requirements\n
Active RN license issued by CO or any compact stateMinimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experiencePrevious experience in a charge nurse capacity is requiredCertifications required : AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP, and C-EFMEpic charting experience is preferredFirst-time travelers are acceptedMaximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during designated blackout periodsCannot have worked for the specified health system or its affiliates in any capacity within the past two years\n Benefits\n
