Position Overview and Responsibilities
The Florida Conservation Corps (FLCC) is a statewide AmeriCorps program housed within the Bureau of Natural and Cultural Resources, Division of Recreation and Parks. The program currently includes 7 staff and 65 AmeriCorps members serving across 31 state parks and regional district offices.
FLCC's mission is to develop future leaders in natural and cultural resource management by engaging them in areas of critical need, including conservation, preservation, interpretation, and resource-based recreation. Members focus on invasive species management, recreational trail improvement and assessment, and volunteer recruitment and coordination. Additionally, FLCC members may be deployed across Florida and other states to support disaster response efforts.
This position plays a key role in supporting the FLCC AmeriCorps program by managing fiscal operations and contributing to overall program coordination. The Fiscal Assistant Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the program budget, processing monthly invoices and payroll, organizing disaster response logistics, and supporting day-to-day operations.
Please note : This position requires regular travel, approximately one week per month. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
