Job descriptionConduct remote neurological evaluations for admitted, non-emergent patients with secure, compliant, bi-directional video technology. Coordinate with local facility staff (radiologists, hospitalists, pharmacists, nurses, and therapists) to support comprehensive patient care and avoid unnecessary transfers. Manage a caseload of 6-8 patients per shift. Review and interpret diagnostic exams as needed (unofficial radiologic interpretations). Conduct specialized neurological procedures including : Lumbar punctures Diagnostic / therapeutic taps Botox administration for neurological conditions Brain death examinations Peripheral nerve and epidural blocks, as well as other specialized neuro-diagnostic services Licensure : Active California medical license Board Certification : Board-certified in Neurology Experience : Comfortable with tele-neurology and interpreting neurological exams in a remote setting EMR System : Epic experience preferred (training provided as needed) Additional Certifications : None required beyond board certification Remote Work : Full tele-neurology; no travel or on-site presence required. Flexibility : Open to varying schedules based on your availability. Collaborative Environment : Work closely with a skilled team in real-time, including access to radiologists and hospitalists for consults. Onboarding Support : Temporary privileges are available, and training on video and case management platforms is provided.
Position Details : We are seeking board-certified Neurologists for a locum tenens opportunity in Southern California, near Corona. This fully remote tele-neurology role is ideal for physicians licensed in California who are comfortable providing care for non-emergent neurological cases through a virtual platform. Coverage is needed from December 2, 2024, through January 6, 2025 , with Monday to Friday availability preferred. Temporary privileges can be granted quickly upon application completion.
