Account Manager
The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day servicing of commercial lines clients and maintenance of exceptional customer relations. This person acts as a generalist within our industries.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Manage and retain existing book of business.
- Review and process bill renewals, new policies, and policy changes.
- Thoroughly review all commercial insurance policies for their accuracy, research coverage discrepancies until resolved, and communicate changes to insurance company.
- Handle coverage questions, research, and resolve problems.
- Interact with carriers and internal / external customers to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Manage the process of renewal submissions for marketing including application(s), necessary exhibit(s), narrative(s), collection of loss runs and answers to underwriting questions.
- Submit applications to eligible and appropriate carriers and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
- Perform other duties as may be required or assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities
Bachelor's degree in a business-related program or equivalent experience in the insurance industry3 years' experience in commercial lines property & casualty account servicing preferredA valid resident Property & Casualty insurance license is requiredProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of, or the ability to learn, AMS360 and ImageRight.Knowledge of insurance coverages and an ability to communicate this clearly to clients and underwriters.Knowledge of insurance regulations, industry standards, and compliance best practices.Understanding of commercial insurance underwriting, coverage & rate analysis.Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a team environment, with a positive attitude, and willingness to help others.Able to work under pressure and time constraints in a fast-paced environmentThis position may be performed remotely from the states of CT, DE, FL, LA, NJ, PA, SC, TXBenefits
