LITIGATION PARALEGAL

POSITION : In-Office & Fulltime

JOB DESCRIPTION- Paralegal for litigation practice group. This Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting attorneys by providing tasks including document creation, departmental file organization and file maintenance.   This individual must have a strong understanding of case management, legal research, document preparation, legal discovery, trial preparation and litigation technology.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Draft and organize various legal documents including, but not limited to motions, pleadings, interrogatories, correspondence, and other documents related to the discovery process during litigation
• Manage trial calendars for the legal team, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Creation of discovery indices
• Scheduling of expert witnesses
• Communications with all parties to litigation
• Provide trial support, including fact-checking, evidence preparation, presentations and technology support
• Maintain organized case files and databases

Requirements :

Paralegal degree or paralegal certificate preferred

Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience preferred

Strong knowledge of legal drafting and law office procedures

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a high volume of cases and efficiently meet deadlines

Proficiency in legal research and case management software. Pro-Law preferred.

Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels.
